Our client is looking for an Automation Tester for its Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementation and roadmap continuity,
The Test Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the core eCommerce platform and integrated services.
Your mission is to maintain and improve the automation framework that accelerates the testing lifecycle.
You will be instrumental in shifting quality left, driving continuous testing, and championing a culture of quality across the project team.
This role requires a hands-on expert who can tackle the unique challenges of high-traffic, transactional systems
The responsibilities include the following, but can vary slightly depending on your level of seniority and the extra value you may add:
TESTING
1. Framework: Maintain and improve a modern, effective automated test framework using Java as the primary language and IntelliJ for efficient development.
2. Test Case Automation: Implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) by writing clear, executable feature files and step definitions using Cucumber to cover critical eCommerce workflows (e.g., ordering, checkout, payments).
3. Web & UI Testing: Develop and execute end-to-end user interface tests for web and mobile web using Selenium WebDriver.
4. Service Validation: Create and maintain comprehensive API and backend service tests, leveraging tools like Postman for rapid prototyping and framework-integrated API validation.
5. Integrate all automated tests into the daily runs using Jenkins to provide feedback on code quality and prevent regressions in every deployment.
6. Code Management: Manage and maintain the test automation codebase, adhering to best practices for branching, merging, and code reviews using GIT.
7. Quality Reporting: Actively participate in the Agile process by using JIRA to log defects, track automation progress, manage test executions, and report on quality metrics.

You have the following skills
13. You hold a Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
14. You have experience in IT and eCommerce.
15. At least 3 years of proven experience as a test automater;
16. Experience in Agile testing methodology;
17. Experience with JIRA;
18. Profound knowledge of the following technologies:IntelliJCucumberSelenium - JavaGITJenkinsPostman
19. Native speaker level in Dutch or French and a professional command of English.

20. You have at least 3 years of professional experiences in IT
21. If you are at least fluent in FR/ENG or NL/ENG it’s best
