HYTE is retained by a fast-growing, venture-backed advanced engineering company to appoint a Battery Manufacturing Lead into a key technical execution role.
This position is highly hands-one and focused on taking battery and energy storage systems from early-stage development through to manufacturable reality. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, prototyping, and production, with a strong emphasis on execution, pace, and design-for manufacture.
The role is well suited to someone who enjoys being close to the hardware, thrives in fast-moving environments, and wants to play a critical role in scaling an advanced engineering programme.
✛ Key Responsibilities ✛
* Lead battery manufacturing and industrialisation activities from prototype through to scalable production.
* Own design-for-manufacture (DFM/DFA) considerations across battery and energy storage systems.
* Drive rapid prototyping, testing, iteration, and build cycles.
* Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure robust, executable designs.
* Establish pragmatic manufacturing processes suitable for a high-growth, resource-conscious environment.
* Support longer-term manufacturing strategy as the programme matures.
✛ Candidate Profile ✛
* Strong background in battery manufacturing, energy storage, or electrified hardware systems.
* Proven experience bridging R&D and production environments.
* Hands-on engineer with a strong bias toward execution and problem-solving.
* Comfortable operating alongside senior technical stakeholders in a flat, fast-paced organisation.
* Able to adapt quickly and take ownership in an evolving environment.
* Open to working on-site in Spain; strong preference for candidates with an existing connection to the region.
