As industrial automation evolves rapidly, my client is seeking a Sales Engineer who can help drive that evolution forward—by thinking strategically, acting practically, and delivering real value to their customers.
đź§° About the Role
The Sales Engineer will play a key role in translating customer challenges into smart, reliable solutions—both technically sound and commercially viable. Working in a close-knit and collaborative regional team, the Sales Engineer will:
* Maintain strong, proactive relationships with existing and prospective customers in the region
* Conduct regular on-site visits to understand clients’ technical needs and operational goals
* Identify and propose effective automation solutions (electromechanical, pneumatic, or a combination)
* Serve as a trusted advisor, offering clear, honest, and technically grounded advice
* Contribute to internal innovation projects, such as technical demonstrations via the company’s mobile "Tech Lab"
* Support ongoing initiatives in Smart Industry and Industry 4.0 applications

The ideal candidate is a skilled technical communicator—someone who is equally comfortable discussing design challenges with engineers and presenting solutions to decision-makers. Down-to-earth, honest, and service-driven, this person thrives in building strong relationships and solving complex problems.
Requirements:
* A higher technical degree (Bachelor or Master), preferably in Electromechanics or similar
* Understanding of mechanical engineering and automation processes
* Experience with CRM tools and MS Office
* Strong written and verbal skills in Dutch, with solid knowledge of French and English
