Exciting New MpowerT Opportunity – HR Manager Europe

We’re thrilled to announce our exclusive partnership with an international leader in precision medicine services for the life sciences sector to recruit a passionate and driven HR Manager Europe.

Fluency in French is absolutely indispensable for this role, as you will carry key responsibilities in Gosselies and across the Walloon region. English is required as the daily working language in international teams, while Dutch is a strong asset for effective collaboration in Antwerp.

As HR Manager Europe, you’ll be instrumental in harmonising HR processes, ensuring compliance across sites, and fostering a strong company culture to support continued growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities as HR Manager Europe:

HR Strategy, Compliance & Operational Excellence

* Develop and document clear HR policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance and operational excellence across Europe.
* Harmonize vendor contracts and payroll providers across countries.
* Support broader HR transformation projects, including time registration system implementation, benefits harmonisation, and succession planning tools.
* Partner with global HR (Montreal) and local leadership to align European HR strategies with global objectives.

Compensation, Benefits & HR Analytics

* Lead the transition of payroll and benefits from Partena to SD Worx in Gosselies, ensuring seamless execution and compliance.
* Align compensation & benefits frameworks across multiple countries, including topics like company cars, shift allowances, and salary transparency.
* Benchmark against the market and implement consistent practices for rewards and recognition.
* Monitor HR data and analytics (e.g., NPS scores, turnover, headcount) to inform decision-making.

Employee & Labor Relations

* Act as the primary HR contact for unions and works councils in both Antwerp and Gosselies, ensuring constructive dialogue and compliance with collective agreements.
* Provide guidance on disciplinary, grievance, and employee relations processes across regions.
* Maintain transparent communication with employees across shifts, schedules, and remote setups (France, UK, Hungary).

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

* Coordinate recruitment efforts across Belgium and Europe, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations.
* Implement structured onboarding and offboarding processes.
* Support workforce planning and succession initiatives aligned with business growth and leadership development.

Learning, Development & Performance Management

* Install and oversee consistent performance management processes across regions, including goal setting, appraisals, and succession planning.
* Track and report L&D initiatives (including compliance with Belgium’s minimum training days per employee).
* Foster a culture of continuous development through recognition platforms and employee engagement programs.

Languages & Communication

* French: Absolute must-have — essential for leading HR responsibilities in Gosselies and ensuring smooth collaboration with francophone employees, works councils, and social partners.
* English: Mandatory — the daily working language across international teams and global HR (Montreal).
* Dutch: Strong asset — highly valuable for managing employee relations and social dialogue in Antwerp.

Who We’re Looking For:

* Proven experience as an HR leader/generalist in an international and multi-site environment.
* Strong track record in at least three of the five HR domains (TA & Workforce Planning, L&D & Performance, C&B, Employee Relations, HR Strategy & Compliance).
* Knowledge of Belgian labor law (Flanders & Wallonia) and experience managing payroll/benefits transitions.
* Fluent in French and English; Dutch is a strong plus.
* A pragmatic, hands-on leader who can balance strategic vision with operational excellence.
