Within this framework, the HR Legal & Social Relations team plays a vital role in maintaining constructive social relations and guiding the organisation in all legal employment matters.Your functionAt ING Belgium, the HR Legal & Social Relations department operates as a separate centre of expertise within Human Resources. It consists of two teams: HR Legal (4 FTE) and Employee Guidance (3 FTE), supporting all business units and HR services as well as social partners.As a Senior Social Legal Advisor, you act as a key legal partner for management and HR. You ensure compliance with social legislation and help foster constructive social dialogue within ING Belgium.Your responsibilities include:Monitoring developments in social law and advising on their impact for ING BelgiumProviding substantiated legal advice on complex employment matters to senior leadershipRepresenting ING in legal proceedings both internally and externallyNegotiating with social partners and aligning their interests with ING’s strategic ambitionsBuilding trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including trade unionsYour profileMaster’s degree in Law, preferably with a specialisation in Social Law (e.g. Advanced Master in Social Law)Minimum of 5 years’ relevant professional experience (e.g. consultancy, payroll provider, or law firm)Demonstrated experience in social dialogue and negotiating with trade unions in complex environmentsAbility to balance legal theory with pragmatic, business-oriented adviceConfident dealing with diverse stakeholders, from social partners to C-level executivesTrilingual: fluent in French, Dutch and English, spoken and writtenEnthusiastic, diplomatic, and a true team playerWhat’s in it for youING offers a clear mission, a unique work culture and a wide array of development opportunities.
