Team/division description Purchasing Profit Management New Projects members act as profit leaders for new TME projects, steering end‑to‑end sourcing to secure competitive economics and robust governance. Our scope includes: increasing the overall benefit by confirming shared designs early and making bundle sourcing easier across different regions; identifying and carrying out localization opportunities for important CKD parts when there is a clear advantage; and managing sourcing activities in line with project timelines, meeting Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) requirements, and adjusting to cost‑planning targets as they are finalized. Profit leaders track performance via dashboards and structured management reporting, ensuring timely corrective follow‑up with all stakeholders. Finally, the team reviews the project and sourcing approaches strategically, yokoten the lessons learned, and develops best practices for future projects. Your project Your role will be to support profit leaders in the following areas within New Projects team. Business automation (Power BI) Support profit leaders to manage KPIs. Identify potential process automation and digitalisation improvement opportunities. Sourcing execution compliance & HRDD Help profit leaders visualize and follow up HRDD/SAQ status. Performance dashboard & reporting Prepare a Purchasing performance dashboard covering sourcing status, HRDD compliance posture, and cost‑planning alignment versus baseline targets (where available). CKD Localization Create a localization opportunity tracker for CKD priority parts (business case template, merit logic, status, risks) and bring top 3 candidates to decision with clear go/no‑go criteria. Bundle Sourcing support Build and maintain a design commonality & bundle merit workbook and visualize bundle candidates, using the latest commonality scenarios as reference. Prepare 1–2 commodity mini‑cases showing expected volume merit and supplier alignment. During your internship you will learn about the purchasing processes. You are fluent in English (TME’s business language) a university degree or equivalent higher education in business, purchasing, supply chain management, automotive engineering, or IT related fields analytical skills, accuracy, and reliability creative thinking willingness to learn (self-motivation to learn new software and programmes) to be result driven and able to break down complex issues into manageable portions good communication and presentation skills an ability to work independently to be computer literate (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI, SharePoint, PowerAutomate) to be fluent in English.
