About the labThe Laboratory of Stem Cell and Developmental Neurobiology, led by Prof. Pierre Vanderhaeghen, is part of the VIB-KU Leuven Center for Brain & Disease Research at Gasthuisberg Campus (Leuven, Belgium). We are a team of more than 15 international scientists/ admin. staff studying human brain development and disease, combining human stem cell technology, human brain and mouse models. Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated, dedicated, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Laboratory Associate. In this role, you will work closely with postdoctoral researchers and PhD students to conduct both animal (mice) and cell cultureexperiments, assist in data collection and analysis (histology, molecular biology) as well as support laboratory management. You will collaborate with team members to optimize experimental workflows, troubleshoot problems, and achieve project objectives.Profile You hold a degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Chemistry (Professional Bachelor/Master/Engineer) or equivalent You are well organized and able to accurately document your work You are able to work independently and perform well in a teamYou are proficient in written and spoken EnglishYou have previous laboratory experienceYou are meticulous, proactive, and self-motivated.
