TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER – EU – 3 YEAR PROJECT
This role focuses on coordinating the delivery of a complex, multi-stakeholder middleware platform that supports open source data initiatives and deployments within the EU.
Acting as a central point between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external suppliers, the Technical Project Manager oversees the full development lifecycle in an agile environment.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• 7+ years experience managing large-scale IT programmes with multiple stakeholders including technical documentation and stakeholder presentations.
• Practical knowledge of open-source data sharing tools, platforms, and standards
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, application design, and modelling tools.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture, relational databases, and business process analysis.
• Knowledge of interoperability technologies (web services, messaging, event-driven architectures).
• Understanding of cloud, including, cloud infrastructure, cloud architecture and cloud security mechanisms (e.g. IdP).
• Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, HPC services, or data/infrastructure layers is a plus.
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
• Master’s degree with at least 10 years of Technical Project Management experience with a background in IT.
• Strong background in enterprise-scale, multi-user information systems.
• Extensive experience with agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, Big Picture, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of the Application Management Lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman).
• Experience working on EU institutional projects.
