To support our further growth, we are currently looking for an IT Team lead who will take in charge the coordination of the IT Individual Life Insurance Analysts/Developers team and further continue to develop on Python. The team is in charge of IT platform support & operations for UL3, one of our life Responsibilities You lead a small team (4) of IT developers and develop and design Python based applications. The deliveries are interfaces, scripts and small applications to integrate and automate the activities around one core life insurance policy administration software, i.e. UL3. You will engage with the local IT management team. You collaborate transversally, build and maintain effective working relationships with peers and end-users. Understanding of the life insurance business is important. Following range of responsibilities are part of the role: People manager, you will motivate, coach and take care of the daily functioning of your team ; oversee the workload and priority setting and manage the performance, evaluations, training and career development of your team. Be the Scrum master and ensure alignment of practice with rest of the organisation. Enforce practice of SDLC in line with the standards used at Belgian level, develop or validate solution design in accordance with the local NFRs. Facilitate the design, improvement, development and maintenance of automations and interfaces from and to UL3 (with MS office applications, accounting application, ….); Support the development and maintenance of reporting tooling from UL3 and other applications towards external and internal DBs, XML, csv, …; Ad hoc development of tools supporting the life insurance policy administration and other project work streams in the company. Lead, organize and support the installation of new versions, add-ons to UL3 (organizing testing and release management). Role Requirements 5 years of experience in (life) insurance industry applications ; Software Development Lifecycle Management tools implementation and management of pipelines is a plus (SDLC/CI-CD); Expertise in Python development combined with SDLC & Object-Oriented Programming ; Demonstrated experience in developing solutions around the MS Power platforms to deliver quick-wins and automation solutions; Proven practical knowledge of Agile / Scrum Framework methodology on Jira & Scrum master ; Proven organizational, time management and communication skills; Professional knowledge of French, English, and Dutch ; Knowledge of the UL3 policy management system and his scripting language asQit is a plus; You recognize yourself in our values: Commit & Own, Trust, Flexible, Collaborate and Learn.
