Position Overview:We are looking for a highly skilled R&D Engineer to join our Pharma Solids Technology Management team. In this contract role, you will work on the mechanical development of feasibility modules and early-stage prototypes, supporting innovation and new equipment solutions within our Pharma Solids roadmap.If you are creative, hands-on, and passionate about mechanical design and complex equipment development, this role is for you.
What you'll do:Develop and propose concepts for mechanical prototypes and feasibility test units.Translate process concepts into functional modules or units.Perform detailed 3D modelling of new equipment designs.Collaborate with suppliers, place orders, and follow up on prototype components.Support prototype assembly and participate in testing activities.Implement improvements for existing equipment, continuous production lines, and tablet presses.Follow quality policies and support continuous improvement.Adhere to Health & Safety rules.Support environmental objectives (waste sorting, energy efficiency, responsible resource use) in alignment with ESG principles.
What you bring:MSc degree in Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in mechanical development or equipment design with complex process requirements.Strong knowledge of machine construction and process-related engineering.Hands-on experience with 3D modeling tools (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, Siemens NX).Creative, quality-driven, and motivated by technical challenges.Fluency in English and Dutch (spoken, written). French is a plus.Strong safety awareness and environmental responsibility.
