This is a unique opportunity for an experienced internal auditor who wants to contribute beyond audit reports and make a lasting impact on the future of the profession.ResponsibilitiesSupport IIA Belgium’s advocacy efforts by engaging with key governance stakeholders such as Guberna, IBR, NBB, FSMA, ACFE, ISACA Belgium and othersCollaborate with European IIA chapters, ECIIA and IIA Global on joint advocacy initiativesDraft position papers and consultation responses, often together with volunteer expertsCoordinate publications, including an Internal Audit Magazine, and webinars on relevant topicsSupport our professional communities (young professionals, small audit teams, large audit functions, and chief audit executives) in organizing high-quality eventsWork on conference and event programsRepresent IIA Belgium at events and meetings where relevantYour Profile3–5 years of internal audit experience (any industry)A strong interest in public policy, governance, and promoting the value of the professionFluent in English (French and/or Dutch are a strong plus)CIA or other IIA credentials are a plus. If not, the willingness to aquire CIA is a must.A collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with volunteers and partners across organizationsTeam & ReportingYou will report directly to the CEO of IIA Belgium and work closely with a small, dynamic team consisting of Training, Marketing and Membership Officers.
