You will be part of the PPM department in the Geel facility, which manages the strategic portfolio, risk and business continuity plans of the entire site.
This comprises a combined CAPEX + OPEX portfolio of more than 100mio€/y, in which PPM is responsible for selecting, prioritizing, and overseeing the execution of projects within the entire organization. The current portfolio includes launches of several new molecules, capacity expansion projects and significant CO2 + water reduction programs.
We are currently looking for a Sit Project Leader, that will also act as a portfolio expert. The main responsibilities will be:
Leadership + Operational execution of projects - that are not in scope of Engineering or MSAT.
* Ensures the site has the capability to execute projects that do not fit under other function accountability (e.g. internalization, sourcing, business continuity, site master plan,...)
* Develops with partners the objectives/scopes and strategy of the project
* Accountable for Project planning including timelines, costs, scope, and risks
* Leads and monitors with an End-to-End mindset the execution of one or multiple projects
* Conducts project communications and management of site and global stakeholders
* Acts as an interface – within the scope of the project – with site functions (operational and support functions) / external operational contacts / related projects
* Performs regular activity reporting to its client and the Project Portfolio Management team at site.
* Presents the project in the corresponding governance committees for review and decision making.
* Fosters sharing and application of best practices and digital solutions.
Portfolio management expert
* Supports the management of the site project portfolio.
* Gathers inputs from all functions.
* Facilitates monitoring / reporting (incl. progress, actions, costs, risks, resource management).
* Facilitates the project approval process (gating) + challenges the presented business cases.
* Consolidates the project data in Shine and conducts data quality and consistency checks.
* Supports cost controlling of projects
* Performs updates and rolling forecasts on the portfolio.

Profile
* Hands on and “can- do attitude”.
* Able to cover a wide are of responsibilities. Working transversely, covering the scope of the entire site.
* Master degree(s) in one of these fields: Biotechnology, Chemical/Pharmaceutical, Engineering.
* Strategic thinking and business acumen.
* Experience in project and portfolio management
* Experienced change manager. Strong communication and stakeholder management
* High affinity with digital and business reporting tools. High knowledge (or willing to acquire) of systems such as Shine, PowerBI, Excel .
* Proficiency in English is essential
