Delivery Manager / Product Owner


Contract: Full-time or Senior Freelance


Context:


Our client is currently undergoing a critical phase in the delivery of a large-scale digital / e-commerce platform. At present, there is no dedicated Product Owner, resulting in a structural gap between business expectations and delivery execution.

To ensure successful delivery, we are looking for a Delivery Manager / Product Owner who will take ownership of the product vision, structure the backlog, and drive execution across teams and stakeholders.


Role Overview:


You will act as the bridge between business and delivery, owning the product backlog and ensuring that business requirements are translated into clear, actionable work for development and integration teams.

Beyond Product Ownership, you will also ensure delivery governance, sprint execution, and team alignment, playing a key role in driving cadence and ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery.


Key Responsibilities:


Product Ownership

* Own and manage the product backlog
* Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
* Prioritize backlog items based on business value and delivery constraints
* Ensure continuous alignment between stakeholders and delivery teams
* Delivery ManagementDrive sprint planning, execution, and follow-up
* Ensure sprint acceptance / rejection based on defined criteria
* Manage delivery cadence and timelines
* Coordinate across internal teams and external vendors (integrators)
* Stakeholder ManagementAct as the single point of contact between business and IT
* Align with senior stakeholders on priorities and roadmap
* Facilitate communication between all parties involved in delivery
* Agile GovernanceLead Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily, Review, Retrospective)
* Ensure proper sprint-to-stage mapping
* Monitor risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers
* Maintain clear visibility on progress and outcomes


Profile:

* Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Delivery Manager, or similar role
* Strong experience in Agile environments (Scrum)
* Proven track record in digital / e-commerce / platform delivery
* Experience working with external vendors or system integrators
* Strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Hands-on, structured, and delivery-oriented mindset
