We are currently looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to implement, maintain and support our Linux-based server environments using infrastructure-as-code and automation as the principal cornerstones. At Isabel, a Linux Engineer should ensure systems are secure, stable, and compliant to internal and external regulatory requirements. Being a player in the financial landscape, security should always be top-of-mind while ensuring it does not hinder the agility required of a Fintech. As a Senior Linux Engineer, you ensure infrastructure delivery is automated and with proper follow-up implemented. You are part of a team to implement and deliver requests for infrastructure improvements and participate in defining the optimal long-term solution for the request, considering the existing product portfolio. As a Senior Linux Engineer it is essential that you have an in-depth comprehension of the operational reality. Therefore, approximately half of your time will be spent on making sure the operational service is guaranteed. The other half of your time you will spend making the service more resilient and automating 'the hell out of everything'. When implementing new infrastructure services and technologies, you will provide your objective evaluation and substantiate your arguments for supporting the new product or technology and this in close collaboration with the Sres and our internal security risk team. This to achieve a financial industry grade secured solution. You have a solid understanding of Linux operating system and Hardware architectures and how to maintain them. Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a rapid paced, customer facing, 24/7 production environment are a must as are your troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. You are at least fluent in English (EU C1). French/Dutch are a plus. Having experience with private and public cloud environments is a plus.
