Cost rate: approximately 400 Eur per day
Location: ~50% onshore, ~50% nearshore-Brussels. Travels will be reimbursement by company.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced developer with a focus on GIS backend and frontend development to join our Agile release train. The candidate will work in the team that enables the delivery of geospatial capabilities.
The products have been in active use (and development) for several years. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of geospatial concepts and experience with the Luciad portfolio together with a deep understanding of Typescript, React, and Java. In addition to technical skills, a strong interest and familiarity with API design thinking is essential. Affinity with the aerospace domain is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:
 * Design and build high-quality geospatial components in the aerospace domain.
 * Test and maintain the delivered artifacts.
 * Write and update the technical documentation.
 * Provide guidance to and support the business teams on delivering geospatial capabilities.
Technical Competencies:
 * Ability to capture, articulate and understand technical requirements.
 * Ability to create and maintain API components. Experience with OpenAPI is an asset.
 * Ability to work in a Linux and CI/CD environment.
 * Mastery of TypeScript, React, and Java. Experience with SpringBoot,, Jest, Junit, or Figma is an asset.
 * Proficiency in geospatial concepts and GIS development for dynamic environments.
 * Experience with LuciadFusion, -Lightspeed or -RIA is an asset.
 * Mastery of OGC standards (GML, WFS, WMS, WMTS). Knowledge of aeronautical standards (e.g., AIXM 5, FIXM, ARINC424) and meteorological standards (e.g., TAC, BUFR, GRIB, IWXXM) is an asset.
 * Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift and cloud environments is an asset.

Language Proficiency:

Qualifications:
 * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
 * 10+ years of professional experience with Java and JavaScript/TypeScript software development.
