Field Installation Technician - Tires as a Service
This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the hardware installations on vehicles of clients. The incumbent will ensure absolute quality of all installations, following installation standards.
The Field Installation Technician - TaaS will also be responsible for training service providers on sensor and telematic installations. This role will supervise their work in cases when the installation is outsourced.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hardware Installation: Deliver TaaS hardware installation objectives against pre-defined plans in assigned geographies for customers.
* Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Coordinate hardware troubleshooting activities with Customer Service Delivery team and execute maintenance activities in the field.
* Training and Development: Contribute to the development of installation training materials for service providers and deliver installation training.
* Quality Control: Quality and count control at the receipt of hardware equipment and assure proper storage of hardware equipment.
Requirements:
* Experience: 3 or more years of experience in mechanical and electrical installation/repair work.
* Technical Knowledge: Technical experience with tractor-trailer trucks and their related telematics and tires.
* Planning and Scheduling: Strong technical background and experience with planning and scheduling.
Education and Certification:
* Diploma: High School Diploma (required).
* Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (desired).
Skills and Abilities:
* Communication: Self-driven, persistent, and a team player with strong entrepreneurial and communication skills.
* Planning and Execution: Ability to plan with different parties and execute against plan.
* IT Skills: Basic information technology (IT) skills.
* Language: Fluent in language of the selected territory plus English.
