What you will do
Managescope,budgetand timeof complexmultidisciplinaryprojects, ensure technical alignment, and strengthenimec’srole in external collaborations.The first period a domain priority will be put on projects inAutonomous Transport Systems.
Coreactivities:
* Manageproject scope,timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet research goals.
* Align and communicate effectively with both internal teams(i.e. data & compute researcher/engineers)and external stakeholders(active incomplexdistributed systems)and drive progress towards objectives & milestones
* Contribute to processesdevelopment withPMO & RMO
* Foster a collaborative environment.
* Thrive inthe context of software and hardware research, particularly aroundagenticsystems, distributeddatainfrastructureandAI workload definitions.

Who you are
* Master’s degree inEngineering, Computer Science, Industrial Sciences, BusinessEngineeringor equivalent
* Demonstrated ownership of complexmultidisciplinarytechnicalprojects, 5+ years of experience, clear understanding ofleading technical concepts in distributedcompute,softwareand AI research
* Experience in R&D or innovation-heavy environments
* Process drivenand problem-solving skills
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to lead through influence rather than authority, guiding teams in a matrixed environment.
* Project management certification (e.g. PMP, Prince2, Agile) is a strong plus, not a requirement.
* Willingness to workregularlyat the Imec facilities in Leuven/Antwerp/Ghent isrequired,occasionaltravel abroad.
* Fluent inEnglishisa a must, Dutch is a strong plus
