Mission
* You lead internal fire, explosion and flooding risk analysis following applicable regulations and standards or in house methodologies
* You perform internal fire, explosion and flooding calculation and simulation studies
* You lead analysis following applicable methods and determine suitable and pragmatic recommendations that cope with the Project and Client's objectives/constraints.
* You realize Fire risk analysis defining scenario and assumptions, choice of the correct model, collection and implementation of the data into the model, calculations, analysis of the results, drafting the synthesis.
* You validate the coherence between the required and existing fire protection/detection means.
* You include requirements from other competence centres, project safety referential, unit safety report, insurer, codes, norms, standards and regulations.
* You check study compliance with on-site situation (walk-downs), include the Return of Experience and draft the reports (high quality level).
* You determine and recommend suitable on site adaptations (protection/detection means).
* You present and share analysis with the Client.
* You manage interfaces and ensure an efficient communication between the different stakeholders.
* You coach junior engineers and follow-up of sub-contracted studies/simulations.
* You ensure budget, planning and scope of the studies are compliant with the project requirements.
* You assist the Project Manager and the Client in meetings and technical discussions with the Safety Authorities
* You are in charge of feasibility studies, design studies, modification studies of internal fire, explosion and flooding protection installations.
* You are in charge of Internal Fire, explosion, flooding safety analysis.
* You do the diagnoses and audits of Fire protection installations.
* You do the modeling, design, calculations and analyses (Water & gas fire protection systems, Passive and manual active fire protection systems, fire & smokes propagation, evacuation, ventilation, internal explosion, internal flooding).
* You have an expertise in Fire protection and detection components.
* You are the operations & Maintenance support for Fire Safety equipment.
* You design specifications, procurement, contract management.
* You make the implementation & start-up of Fire Safety equipment follow-up.
Profile
* You have a Civil Engineer diploma (Mechanical engineer, Fire safety Engineer, Nuclear Engineer is an asset) or High Engineering School diploma (ENSAM, ENSI Bourges, INSA Centre-Val de Loire, INSA Rouen, ENSE or equivalent), + Master 2 Fire engineering is an asset.
* You have a first proven experience in fire engineering : Fire simulations & calculations, Fire risk analysis - design of Fire protection systems would be an asset.
* You have good language skills : French and English (Dutch is an asset).
* You have good computer and data process skills.
* You are able to draft reports, technical papers and synthesis documents.
* You have an Inquiring and critical mind
