PpAs bHead of Generative AI /b (GenAI), you are the inspiring leader behind the development of RD projects that make the transformative power of GenAI more accessible to Belgian companies in the technology sector. With your team of experts, you play an important role for the industry to help them apply this fascinating technology in their products and processes as a competitive advantage. /p h3Your role /h3 ul liBased on technology scouting, you identify potential for GenAI innovation in the market. /li liIn collaboration with the Business Unit Manager and internal experts, you translate the market needs into strategic visions and a project portfolio. Subsequently, you draft convincing business cases for the submission of concrete RD projects. Sirris works a lot in partnerships. You play an important role in setting up and developing these partnerships, anchoring Sirris' interests and providing technical input. /li liYou are line manager for an autonomous team of Project Managers/Senior AI Experts. This team will grow substantially over the next two years (up to around 15 team members). You recruit new talent and encourage the development of knowledge and skills of your team members, balancing personal professional growth and the requirements for (future) projects. /li liYou oversee ongoing RD projects in various stages of development with a total budget of around EUR 1 million on an annual basis. This includes resource planning, complex stakeholder management, escalation support and PL management. /li liAt (inter)national events, network meetings or meetings with (potential) customers or partners, you are Sirris’ ambassador for the GenAI program. Your storytelling is compelling and adapted to your target audience, building awareness of GenAI's potential and fostering confidence in Sirris as a high‑tech knowledge centre. /li liTo develop expertise in the sector and to firmly position Sirris' work in GenAI, you encourage the team, in collaboration with Marketing Communications, to speak at conferences, publish articles and develop educational initiatives (workshops, webinars, seminars, masterclasses, etc.). /li /ul h3Who are you? /h3 ul li12+ years' experience in Program/Project Management in a business IT environment. Strong interest in new technologies, familiar with Machine Learning and AI techniques. /li liA relevant Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science or similar background. /li liWell‑rounded leader of knowledge workers in a complex, project‑based environment. You are recognized as a sparring partner and technology sounding board. /li liStrong and passionate in connecting people, ideas and visions. /li liStrategic do‑er, conceptual and analytical, but also an approach characterized by business acumen, you are able to win client projects. /li liExperience with subsidised projects (at regional/Belgian/European level) is a plus. /li liKnowledge of PL accounts and HR processes. /li liA clear, persuasive communication style, both internally and externally. /li liYou are able to travel regularly in Belgium to visit our clients and partners and to attend various events for project or network meetings or to participate in seminars.
