Freelance Jr/Medior Cost Accountant (PART TIME – 50%)
For our client in Lier, we are looking for a Freelance Cost Accountant to join them on an interim part time mission.
* Concerns a 50% temporary replacement (Lier location)
* Planned start date: June 2026
* Replacement End Date: April 2027
The focus of the Cost Accountant is on cost calculations, analyses and reporting production KPIs, with a strong link between figures and the reality on the shop floor. In addition, the Cost Accountant supports the Finance Operations Manager in analyzing, monitoring and optimizing the financial and operational performance of the production environment.
Purpose of the position
The cost accountant is responsible for establishing, managing and optimizing product cost prices, calculating and maintaining accurate product cost prices based on raw materials, packaging and labor.
Core responsibilities
* Product cost prices
* Calculate and maintain accurate product cost prices based on raw materials, packaging and labor.
* Providing cost-related data for budgeting, forecasting and financial analyses.
* Financial support
* Supporting the Finance operations manager with month-end closing and KPI follow-up.
* Analyzing and checking financial and operational data and drawing up targeted analyses and reports.
* Management of article cards, Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routings in Axapta/
* Providing technical and substantive support for improvement and optimization projects.
* Cross-functional collaboration
* Intensive cooperation with Sales, R&D and Operations for correct and smooth cost price calculations.
Result criteria
* Timely, meticulous, critical and reliable in calculating, analyzing and reporting.
* Accuracy of financial and operational data.
* Relevance and usefulness of analyses, advice and improvement proposals.
Profile
* Education: Bachelor or Master (or equivalent through experience) in Commercial Sciences, Applied Economics, Finance, Commercial/Commercial Engineering.
* Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
* Knowledge of Navision is a plus
* Competencies: Strong analytical skills, accuracy, numerical insight and affinity with production processes is a plus.
