NTT Data is currently looking for an Head of IT Operations for one of our clients in the public sector based in Brussels. The role is performed in a hybrid role. Your role: Job description The client is looking for a senior manager to organize, motivate and inspire the IT Operations colleagues in the area of Services Desk, System Engineering, DevOps, DBA and Service Delivery Management. Lead IT Operations to support the organisation's strategic goals, including cloud-first and platform team enablement. Ensure operational excellence while enabling project delivery and business continuity. Act as a key liaison between IT Operations and internal/external stakeholders, including Munich RE Group In consultation with the Chief Information Officer, you will be responsible of the different teams composing IT Operations, you will ensure that all services are via projects and maintenance are delivered as defined. More concretely, your core tasks will be: * Maintain high availability and performance of all IT assets. * Oversee monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery planning. * Ensure minimal downtime and rapid resolution of operational issues. * Plan and allocate resources to balance project execution and recurring maintenance/support tasks. * Collaborate effectively with third-party providers (local, nearshore, offshore) and group-level IT teams. * Support cloud-first strategy by building team capabilities and driving adoption. * Support platform team strategy implementation required to enable autonomous product and project teams. We would expect +10 years of in experience in the IT Operations field, with +5 years managing teams. Main tasks: * Execute the IT operations strategy aligned with business goals. * Managing and coaching of team leader(s) and manager(s) and being accountable for quality and efficiency within the department. * Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across multiple IT disciplines. Assess team competencies and lead upskilling initiatives. * Determining and executing the necessary communication internally and, if necessary, externally. * Discuss pain points with the different teams. * Manage vendor relationships and ensure service alignment with our group standards. * Participate to projects as representative of IT Operations * Oversee capacity planning, resource allocation, and operational readiness across teams. * Drive cloud transformation and ensure infrastructure scalability. * Coordinate with various IT departments (IT-Security, IT-Development, IT-Project(1)Manager). * Enable platform team collaboration through self service tooling and processes. * Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of infrastructure components. * Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Your profile : * Master's degree in management or a technical degree (ICT related) or similar by experience * At least 10 years of Proven experience managing IT Operations in multi-vendor environments with + 5 years managing teams. * Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic change. * Excellent decision-making, stakeholder management and communication skills. * Experience in cloud migration and platform enablement. * Experience in Microsoft SQL Server * Strong background in ITIL, DevOps, cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS/GCP). * Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFE, Spotify Model) Languages : You are fluent in English and Dutch or French.
