About the Job
The Powertrain (Generators and Gas & Steam Turbines) team is seeking an experienced Field Technician with a strong background in mechanical systems to join our team of experts. You will work closely with engineers to develop and implement maintenance strategies that meet the needs of our diverse range of customers.
* Your key responsibilities will include:
* Maintenance Operations: Organize, coordinate, and perform mechanical maintenance on industrial gas and steam turbines.
* Project Preparation: Collaborate with engineers to define the scope, planning, and execution strategy for each maintenance project.
* Flexible Roles: Depending on the assignment, take on responsibilities as a field technician, site supervisor, or both.
* Team Leadership & Logistics: As a site supervisor, manage resources, order materials, and lead teams of colleagues and subcontractors.
* Problem Solving & Safety: Respond to unplanned incidents, troubleshoot turbine issues hands-on, and ensure safety compliance at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* You are mechanically skilled (A2/bachelor/graduate electromechanics).
* Experience in maintenance of turbines, aircraft engines, derivative gas turbines, wind turbines or large rotating equipment is a plus.
* You are fluent in English and willing to obtain medio level (B2) in French or Dutch.
* You are flexible in terms of working hours and workplace. You see varying hourly schedules (day, shifts, weekends) as 'part of the job'. You are willing to perform work at our various sites in Belgium and abroad (mainly France and the Netherlands, max. 30%).
* Your sense of ownership ensures that you don't cut corners and remain involved in a project until its completion.
