A day in the life of the HR Legal & Social Relations Senior Expert
The Legal & Social Relations team consists of the HR Legal team (4 FTE) and the Employee Guidance team (3 FTE). It operates within the Human Resources department. It's a separate centre of expertise responsible for the application of all social-legal policies. This centre of expertise provides support to all ING business units, both for the business as well as for other HR services and social partners.
As a Senior Social Legal Advisor, you provide professional advice on social law and support management and your colleagues in ensuring a constructive social dialogue takes place within ING.
Your activities will include:
* following changes in social law and identifying which changes are applicable to ING, you are a recognized partner in this regard;
* advising ING leaders and providing substantiated advice in sometimes complex matters;
* representing ING Belgium in legal cases in legal cases inside and outside the organization;
* negotiating agreements with social partners and balancing priorities within the strategic ambitions of the organization;
* working closely with our social partners.

As a Senior Social Legal Advisor, you have:
* a master's degree in law, with a specialisation in Social Law (e.g., Advanced master's in social law)
* at least 10 years' relevant professional experience (e.g., in a payroll service provider, consultancy firm or specialised law firm)
* demonstrated experience in conducting a constructive social dialogue and in negotiating deals with social partners in fast moving environments
* demonstrated experience in dealing with complex legal cases
Furthermore,
* you show you are able to deal with a variety of stakeholders, from social partners to C-level leadership
* you are fluent in French, Dutch and English, both spoken and written
* you have strong problem-solving skills and can translate theory into pragmatic and applicable advice
* you are enthusiastic and a team player
