As Head of Trade Marketing & Category Management, you will lead a high-performing category team, driving growth, profitability, and market share in the fresh FMCG segment. You will combine strategic category management with hands-on leadership, ensuring the successful execution of pricing, trade marketing, promotions, and revenue growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Category Strategy & Revenue Growth
o Develop and implement category strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
o Drive revenue growth and profitability through pricing, promotions, and assortment optimization.
o Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activity to inform category decisions.
* Trade Marketing & Promotions
o Plan, execute, and evaluate trade marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and in-store activations.
o Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to maximize ROI from promotional activities.
o Monitor promotional effectiveness and adjust strategies to achieve targets.
* People Management & Leadership
o Lead, coach, and develop a team of category professionals, fostering engagement, accountability, and performance.
o Set clear objectives, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to ensure team success.
o Encourage cross-functional collaboration across sales, marketing, and supply chain teams.
* Pricing & Revenue Management
o Define pricing strategies to maximize volume and profitability while remaining competitive.
o Monitor margin performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
o Work closely with finance and commercial teams on revenue growth management (RGM) initiatives.
* Performance Analysis & Reporting
o Track and analyze category performance metrics, share insights with senior management, and recommend strategic actions.
o Use data-driven insights to optimize category performance and decision-making.
* Master's degree in Business Engineering, Economics, Marketing, or related field.
* At least 5-7 years of experience in category management experience, preferably in FMCG sector.
* Small experience in people management, with proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
* Solid expertise in trade marketing, pricing, promotions, and revenue growth management.
* Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proactive, results-oriented, and capable of balancing strategic thinking with operational execution.
* Fluent in French, Dutch and English
