Construction Project Manager
The Construction Project Manager is a key professional responsible for overseeing the execution of capital construction projects. Their primary goal is to ensure the successful delivery of these projects, from design to completion, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
To achieve this objective, the Construction Project Manager must work closely with various stakeholders, including project leaders, construction partners, and vendors. They will be responsible for developing and implementing effective project management strategies, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with global and local laws.
Key Responsibilities:
* Front End Loading - The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for building on existing Front End Loading (FEL) practices, identifying key areas for improvement, and implementing changes to drive best results.
* Qualification of Construction Partners - They will effectively engage with project leaders, construction safety experts, and other stakeholders to select the most suitable external partners for construction in various regions.
* Policies and Procedures - The Construction Project Manager will understand, deploy, and improve policies, procedures, and programs related to FEL, vendor selection, construction labor, safety, constructability, quality construction, and on-time performance.
* Goals and Reporting - They will track goals and targets for construction management deployment, including reporting frequency and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Reviews and Assessments - Regularly conduct assessments and reviews in collaboration with the project team, discussing positive observations, areas for improvement, and leading the development of required action plans.
Qualifications:
* Education - A university degree or equivalent is required; a degree in science, engineering, architecture, or a related field is highly desirable.
* Experience and Skills - A minimum of eight to ten years of relevant work experience, with progressive experience in construction management, is required.
