We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Business Partner and Controller to provide financial leadership and oversight for our operations in Belgium, while managing a finance team based in Europe. In this key role, you will partner closely with plant and commercial teams to drive operational efficiency, ensure financial accuracy, and support strategic decision-making. You will bridge finance and operations, directly contributing to the performance and profitability of the business. This role reports to the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the Belgium site.
Develop and implement finance and operational procedures.
Monitor sales performance, prepare forecasts, and provide actionable insights.
Analyse production costs, variances, and operational KPIs.
Ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings.
Partner with plant management to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain internal controls and compliance with local regulations.
Prepare financial reports and present insights to senior management.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
Oversee statutory accounts, tax filings, and liaise with auditors.
Collaborate with commercial teams to achieve financial targets.
Lead and develop a finance team based in other European locations.
Qualifications:
4+ years experience in Finance Business partner roles.
Good understanding or previous expertise in accounts payable & receivables.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Experience in accounting or finance roles, with team management experience.
Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
Manufacturing or Big consulting Audit experience a plus.
Results-oriented, dynamic, and adaptable professional.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
Knowledge of excise duty regulations is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Comfortable in an international, cross-functional environment.
Fluent in Flemish, English & good French a must have and all other languages a plus.
