Description de l'offre

Software Developer

Brussels | Hybrid

For early-career developers who want to build real web products with solid engineering discipline.

At Craft it, we build software products and delivery assets for regulated financial institutions operating in demanding credit risk environments. Our work sits at the intersection of business substance, product thinking, and disciplined software delivery.

We are looking for a Software Developer who wants to grow fast by contributing to real product development from the start.

This role is a strong fit for someone coming from a practical, shorter higher-education path such as Belgian short-cycle higher education or another hands-on technical program. A master’s degree is not expected for this role. We value people who like building, learning by doing, and becoming productive quickly in real delivery conditions.

Your main focus will be web development, with a strong emphasis on front-end engineering in Angular and TypeScript. At the same time, you should be comfortable working across the stack and willing to contribute to backend development in C# when needed.

This is not a training-only role. You will be supported, but you will also be expected to contribute, take feedback seriously, and steadily increase your autonomy.

What you will do

As a Software Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, and improvement of software products used in serious client environments.

You will:

* build and improve user-facing features in Angular and TypeScript
* translate functional and product requirements into clear, maintainable code
* contribute to backend development in C# for APIs, business logic, and integrations
* work with senior developers, product, and architecture colleagues to understand technical priorities and delivery expectations
* help maintain code quality through testing, debugging, reviews, and disciplined implementation practices
* participate in sprint work with clear ownership of well-scoped tasks and features
* investigate issues, fix defects, and improve reliability and usability
* contribute to technical documentation and delivery artefacts where useful
* keep learning the product domain, engineering practices, and delivery standards expected in regulated environments

What we are looking for

You are likely a strong fit if you:

* have completed, or are about to complete, a practical short-cycle or professionally oriented higher-education program in software development, web development, computer science, or a related field
* have 1+ year experience or hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript through projects, internships, coursework, or personal work
* bring a strong affinity for web development and front-end engineering
* are able and willing to work on backend development in C# as part of a full product team
* understand core software engineering fundamentals such as version control, debugging, code structure, and basic testing practices
* write clear, structured code and care about maintainability
* are curious, dependable, and open to feedback
* want to learn quickly in a professional environment with real delivery expectations
* speak French and have a professional working level of English, or the reverse

You would stand out with experience in one or more of the following:

* building responsive web interfaces and reusable front-end components
* consuming or exposing REST APIs
* working with .NET or C# backend services
* internships, school projects, or personal projects that show practical execution rather than only academic theory
* Git, Azure DevOps, or similar delivery tooling
* UX sensitivity and attention to interface quality, clarity, and usability

What success looks like

In the first months, you should be able to:

* understand the basics of our products, delivery approach, and development standards
* contribute reliably to front-end tasks in Angular and TypeScript
* pick up well-scoped backend work in C# with guidance when needed
* communicate clearly about progress, blockers, and technical questions
* show consistent progress in autonomy, code quality, and speed of execution

Over time, strong performance in this role means:

* your code is dependable, readable, and increasingly production-ready
* you can move confidently between front-end and backend tasks
* you ask good questions, learn quickly, and apply feedback well
* teammates trust you to take ownership of defined work and deliver it with care

Why join Craft it

This role gives you the chance to build strong fundamentals in a serious software environment.

At Craft it, you will:

* work on real products and delivery challenges, not only internal exercises
* learn from experienced colleagues across development, architecture, product, and consulting
* develop practical full-stack experience with strong front-end exposure
* grow in an environment that values rigor, ownership, professionalism, and continuous improvement
* gain experience in a domain where software quality, traceability, and reliability matter

We are not looking for someone who already knows everything. We are looking for someone with solid potential, strong practical instincts, and the motivation to become a very good developer through real work.

Practical details

* hybrid model: 3 days/week in the office (standard expectation)
* Brussels-based, with international client exposure

A flexible compensation package, including:

* a mobility budget tailored to your needs
* monthly homeworking allowance
* monthly internet allowance
* meal and Eco vouchers (Monizze)
* comprehensive hospital insurance (DKV)
* group pension insurance

Recruitment process

* initial screening call
* two interview rounds
* a short analytical or technical exercise may be included during the second interview round

Interested?

Send us your CV and a short note explaining why this role is a strong fit for you.

If relevant, add a short note highlighting the projects, technologies, or types of development work that best reflect your strengths and what you want to keep building next.
