On behalf of Federazione Italiana Tabaccai, we are looking for a European Affairs Officer to join their European Affairs department in Brussels.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong interest in EU policy, public affairs and regulatory developments, who wants to work closely with European institutions and stakeholders in a highly regulated environment.
In this role, you will support the team with:
* Monitoring and analysing European and international policy developments, including EU legislation, WHO-related topics and relevant ECJ case law
* Following dossiers related to tobacco, innovative products, public gaming, services and funding programmes for small businesses
* Collecting data and drafting reports, briefings and position papers
* Supporting stakeholder relations with European officials, MEPs and relevant external partners
* Helping organise webinars, meetings and events
We are looking for someone who has:
* A Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, EU Law, Economics, European Studies
* Previous experience in a European Affairs, Public Affairs, policy or institutional environment
* A good understanding of EU law and the functioning of the European institutions
* Strong analytical and writing skills
* A proactive, structured and team-oriented mindset
Experience as an Assistant to an MEP, or within EU institutions, trade associations, NGOs or Brussels-based consultancies, is considered a strong asset.
Location: Brussels
Contract: Permanent contract
Schedule: Full-time
Salary range: €36.000 – €42.000 gross/year
