Our client, a major European logistics organization, is seeking an expert to lead a large-scale digital transformation migrating legacy systems to a unified cloud environment. This role focuses on architecting the transition from mainframe environments to a modern ERP platform while ensuring seamless system coexistence and data harmony.
Responsibilities
Lead the integration architecture for the transition from legacy systems to a cloud ERP target state.
Design API-led, event-driven, and batch integration patterns using REST, SOAP, Kafka, and MQ.
Translate conceptual blueprints into detailed solution designs for onshore and offshore delivery teams.
Manage master data design including logical and physical modeling, data lineage, and transformation rules.
Define and maintain interface contracts, data mappings, and API specifications.
Investigate legacy mainframe systems to understand constraints and data models for integration design.
Requirements
You have 7+ years of experience in integration architecture and solution design within enterprise environments.
You possess advanced knowledge of data architecture including logical and physical modeling, data flows, and master data management.
You bring deep experience with API-driven and message-driven integration using REST, OpenAPI, Kafka, MQ, or ASB.
You have hands‑on familiarity with integration stacks such as AWS, Azure Integration Services, or MuleSoft Anypoint.
You possess solid working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or ECC integration capabilities.
You're familiar with legacy mainframe systems including COBOL, DB2, and JCL.
You have experience with architecture modeling using Archimate, UML, or BPMN.
You're experienced in leading or coordinating offshore development teams through design clarity and quality control.
You are fluent in English.
Nice to Haves
Experience with large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
Background in the automotive, supply chain, or wholesale distribution sectors.
Familiarity with transition architecture and legacy/cloud coexistence patterns.
Knowledge of master data governance frameworks and quality rules.
Active knowledge of Dutch.
