We are looking for a Business Consultant for the Software Factory cluster within the Software and Architecture tribe. As a Business Consultant within the Software Factory at Telenet, you help shaping strategic software development cycle related initiatives. You operate at the intersection of business and technology, translating business needs into technical solutions that deliver measurable value.

Your responsibilities
* You assist in the adoption of new solution design by the Telenet software application owning teams.
* You act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology, collaborating closely with software owning teams and software delivery partners to ensure a shared understanding and feasibility.
* You proactively gather, structure and challenge business needs into technical grow opportunities in close alignment with internal stakeholders.
* You assess the impact on processes, systems and tools of new business needs and new software design while validating assumptions and a strategic fit with company objectives.
* You organize knowledge administration by maintaining consistent documentation and decision logs of analyses and insights.
* You help colleagues grow by sharing knowledge, guiding decision-making and contributing to a strong learning culture within Telenet.
Our ideal Business Consultant
* You have a Master's or Bachelor's degree with 5 à 10 years of experience as a business consultant with a strong track record in analysing and designing information systems – ideally in telecom or utility sectors.
* You work structured and are analytical and detail-oriented, yet pragmatic – you balance precision with big-picture thinking and critically evaluate ideas and options. You take initiative, work autonomously and know when to seek input or support.
* You are a strong communicator who tailors language to the audience, fluent in Dutch and English. You are confident and direct with an open mind – comfortable challenging assumptions and saying what needs to be said.
* You are experienced in driving change initiatives and familiar with Telenet's business landscape and stakeholder dynamics. You have a continuous improvement mindset – always looking for smarter ways to work, eager to learn, and dedicated to personal and team growth.
* You are able to provide technical leadership – connecting solutions to strategic objectives while advocating for quality, reusability and best practices.
* You are a team player who puts collective success first and enjoys guiding colleagues in their development.
* Development or software engineering background is a plus. Knowledge of cloud native software design (AWS, GCP or Azure), data modeling concepts, and UX experience are assets.
