We are currently seeking motivated Mechanical Engineer DCT Clutches (m/f) to join our team. By joining us, you'll be part of a leading company that is shaping the future of hybrid transmission technology.
In this role, you are part of Clutch actuation team based in Eindhoven (NL) and Sint-truiden (BE). You work in an agile framework together with the Product owner to ensure timely delivery of tollgate deliverables. You will work as component owner.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of mild and full hybrid transmission systems by designing and optimizing Clutches system and related components.
Design and develop power shift module components including complex sheet metal parts, selection of friction plate, clutch actuation pistons and other components to meet performance, cost, and reliability targets.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, including thermal, noise vibration and harshness (NVH), and manufacturing, to ensure optimal clutch performance.
Define component requirements, align them with subsystem, and create supplier specifications.
Perform in-depth tolerance stack-up calculations for complex mechanical and Clutch systems.
Identify potential failure modes using FMEA and develop comprehensive validation plans for components and subsystems.
Manage supplier communications – coordinate, review, and follow-up design changes and timely part deliveries.
Lead X-functional team of design, purchase and SQE and process-development for hydraulics components.
Knowledge of design for manufacturing /assembly processes for PSM components such as complex sheet metal parts, friction and separator plate, Al Die-casting, machining, part cleanliness and laser welding related processes etc.
Preferred qualifications
You have an engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree (industrial, electromechanical, or mechanical) or equivalent by experience.
You have thorough knowledge and experience in the field of Mechanics, Dynamics, and Production, preferably in an automotive environment.
Experience in automotive development related processes i.e., FMEA, APQP, DCP, 6-Sigma, 8D.
Knowledge of tribology and friction materials and experience with NVH analysis.
Basic knowledge of CAE and strong knowledge of Creo and Windchill.
