We are supporting a well-established Belgian engineering company with a strong 2025 project pipeline. They are looking for a Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer to support complex, custom-built industrial projects.
This is a project-driven environment — not repetitive product design. Every project brings new engineering challenges across brownfield and greenfield installations.
Scope of WorkMechanical design of custom industrial equipment3D modelling and 2D manufacturing drawingsLayout integration within existing installationsAdapting machinery to client-specific capacity & technical requirementsWorking closely with internal engineering teamsOpportunity to gradually support client-facing technical discussions
Required ProfileMechanical Engineering backgroundStrong 3D CAD experience ( CREO preferred, Inventor/SolidWorks considered)Experience in machinery, mechanical structures, tanks, conveyors, or industrial equipmentProblem-solving mindset – able to design beyond standard templatesStrong communication skillsBased in Belgium or able to work onsite in Flanders
