We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Quality Manager within our Quality team to help support our Automotive business. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible planning, coordinating and directing quality assurance activities to provide governance, maintenance and ensure compliance with the Company's Quality Management System in order to maintain defined standards. The responsibility of this role is also to fulfil the quality requirements and obligations from the customers.
As a Quality Manager, you will:
1. Implement, improve, and monitor the company's management system to meet customer and LPA's requirements and expectations. Lead, develop, and coach branch quality staff to play the roles of police, doctor, and coach, and facilitate quality branch activities
2. Review and develop action plans to improve branch KPIs (cost of poor quality, internal PPM, customer PPM, PPAP submission on time). Lead problem solving (8D report, etc.), implement corrective actions in a branch, and document it in knowledge database
3. Manage quality department to provide support to branch operations (such as continuous improvements and LAMPS) and service to the customer. Establish and implement procedures to ensure quality of the incoming and outgoing material
4. Develop methods to check and ensure midstream and upstream quality in new products (APQP and safe launch) and ensure quality of existing products.
5. Compliances of quality, regulatory, and customer requirements, such as ISO 14001, IATF 16949, and ISO/IEC 17025
6. Hold the branch team accountable for maintaining records and reports in a concise manner and update documents accordingly
7. Maintain/improve customer and supplier intimacy through customer visit/contact and create effective working relations
8. Fulfill responsibilities in Health & Safety as defined by legislation and the company's H&S program. Leading a safety first approach maintaining a zero-accident culture. Ensures and monitors work, accident prevention, and safe working environment across the business
To be successful in this role you'll need:
9. A university degree (or equivalent) is required; A Six Sigma Black Belt is desirable
10. More than 5 years’ experience within an ISO9000, IATF16949 automotive manufacturing environment
11. Good planning and communication skills are essential
12. Good Leadership, management skills, good people skills and problem solving skills are required
13. Multi-tasking, strong advanced statistical technical skills are also highly desired
14. Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
