PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER - KORTRIJK (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION
This role is responsible for the hands-on engineering and delivery of consumer products from concept through to mass production.
As a Product Development Engineer, you will take ownership of the technical development process including translating ideas, sketches, and industrial design concepts into fully engineered, manufacturable products ready for scale.
Day-to-day, you will be designing components and assemblies in CAD, building and testing prototypes, and refining designs based on performance, cost, and manufacturing constraints. You will work through detailed engineering challenges such as material selection, tolerance definition, and design for manufacturing, ensuring products can be reliably produced using processes like injection molding and extrusion.
The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with user needs and commercial goals, while also working directly with suppliers and manufacturers to develop tooling, resolve production issues, and support product launch. You will be actively involved in problem-solving throughout the development cycle including identifying risks early, iterating quickly, and driving designs toward robust, production-ready solutions.
This is a practical, execution-focused engineering role that combines CAD design, prototyping, and manufacturing support, with clear ownership of delivering high-quality consumer products to market.
