About Our Client
Our client is a well-established Belgian group with operations across Europe (Benelux, France and Spain). The company has recently launched an ambitious growth program with a strong focus on external growth and acquisitions. The M&A department was created in 2023 as part of the Finance division and already completed more than 14 transactions since its creation. The team operates as a highly entrepreneurial unit within the group, building the acquisition strategy, structuring transactions and working closely with executive leadership and financial institutions. The team is based in Brussels, with occasional presence in Ghent.
Job Description
As a Legal Advisor your responsibilities are:
Provide legal support on acquisitions, investments and strategic transactions across Europe
Participate in the full transaction lifecycle: due diligence, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, closing and post‑transaction integration
Support the preparation of documentation for Executive Committee and Board meetings
Work closely with the Group M&A team, finance stakeholders and external advisors
Contribute to the structuring and governance of transactions within a growing M&A platform
Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment
The Successful Applicant
A successful Legal Advisor should have:
Master's degree in Law (Belgian)
2–3 years of experience in M&A (law firm or international in‑house environment)
Strong interest in corporate transactions and finance‑driven projects
Fluent in French
Passive Dutch required
Strong working proficiency in English (majority of contracts and transactions)
Business‑oriented, pragmatic and solution‑driven mindset
Autonomous profile able to operate in a developing and entrepreneurial environment
Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills
