Freelance IT Procurement & Asset Management Specialist (1-Year Project) – Brussels
Are you an experienced IT Procurement Specialist or IT Asset Management Consultant looking for a freelance project in Brussels?
Our client, a large international organization, is seeking a Freelance IT Procurement & Asset Management Agent to support their Digital Workplace team for a 12-month assignment.
This role focuses on IT purchasing, asset lifecycle management, telecom subscriptions, and cost optimization. You will work closely with IT teams, suppliers, and finance departments to ensure efficient procurement processes and accurate tracking of IT assets.
Location: Brussels (Belgium)
Remote work: Up to 2 days per week
Contract: Freelance – 12 months
Your Responsibilities
As an IT Procurement & Asset Management Consultant, you will play a key role in managing IT procurement operations and maintaining accurate asset management processes.
IT Procurement Management
* Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle for IT hardware, software, and external resources.
* Handle quotations, purchase orders, invoices, payments, and contract follow-up.
* Ensure accurate financial tracking and timely delivery of IT equipment and services.
* Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to maintain efficient procurement workflows.
IT Asset & License Management
* Maintain a complete inventory of IT assets including hardware and software.
* Manage asset lifecycle processes, including acquisition, deployment, and retirement.
* Monitor software licenses and usage to ensure compliance and cost optimization.
Telecom & Subscription Management
* Manage mobile and fixed telephony subscriptions.
* Monitor usage, allocation, and costs across telecom services.
* Coordinate with telecom providers to resolve issues and identify optimization opportunities.
Tools & Systems
You will work daily with the following tools to manage procurement and asset management processes:
* SAP
* Coupa
* Omnitracker
* Microsoft Office
* Microsoft Teams
Required Skills & Experience
Procurement & Asset Management
* Strong experience with IT procurement processes (quotations, purchase orders, goods receipts, invoicing, vendor management).
* Understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and CMDB principles.
* Familiarity with ITIL best practices for asset and service management.
Data Analysis & Reporting
* Strong analytical skills for cost optimization and reporting.
* Experience with Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
Communication & Languages
* Fluent French or Dutch (native level).
* English at C1 level (professional working proficiency).
Personal Skills
* Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
* Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-up capabilities.
* Strong communication skills with suppliers, IT teams, and management.
* Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple parallel tasks.
* Analytical mindset focused on cost optimization and license management.
