Product Manager – Technical, Warehouse & Back Office Systems
Department: Digital Product
Reporting into: Director of Product
Role Summary
We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to partner with Operations, CX, and other departments to own the strategy and execution of our warehouse, fulfillment, and back-office systems.
AI/ML experience in the supply chain space is a strong plus.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Build and own the multi-year product vision and roadmap for warehouse, fulfillment, and core back-office systems.
* Partner with executives and functional leaders to prioritize initiatives that drive margin, throughput, and customer experience.
* Define clear success metrics and ensure every initiative has a measurable impact on operational and customer KPIs.
Systems Ownership & Integration
* Serve as product owner for our third-party cloud warehouse platform, pick‑to‑light systems, robotics, carriers, and their integrations with NetSuite, subscription billing, ecommerce, and CRM.
* Design and evolve end‑to‑end data and process flows across systems, reducing manual work, rework, and failure points.
* Lead integration projects with external vendors and internal engineering, ensuring scalable, well‑documented interfaces and event flows.
Warehouse & Fulfillment Optimization
* Deeply understand warehouse processes (receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns) and translate operational needs into robust technical solutions.
* Partner with Operations leadership to redesign workflows to fully leverage pick‑to‑light and real‑time system feedback instead of paper flows.
* Work with Analytics/Data to ensure the right events, telemetry, and reporting are in place for monitoring performance and continuous improvement.
AI & Advanced Optimization
* Explore and define use cases for AI/ML in fulfillment and back office (e.g., AI optimized pick groups, wave planning, batching logic, forecasting, slotting, labor optimization).
* Collaborate with Operations and Analytics to test and iterate on models and algorithms that optimize picking, waving, and overall throughput.
* Evaluate third‑party AI/optimization tools and build‑versus‑buy recommendations.
Execution & Delivery
* Own Agile rituals (backlog, grooming, sprint planning, reviews) for your domains, ensuring predictable delivery and high quality.
* Write clear requirement documentation, JIRA tickets, Confluence documentation, technical/functional specifications, and test scenarios in partnership with Engineering, QA, and Operations.
* Manage project risk and change: proactively identify dependencies, system impacts, and operational implications; coordinate smooth rollouts, UAT, and training.
* Maintain a transparent, prioritized backlog and communicate tradeoffs and status clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
What We’ll Love About You (How You Work)
* You can break down complex technical and operational problems and explain them clearly to both engineers and non‑technical partners.
* You’re energized by warehouse and fulfillment complexity and enjoy spending time on the floor with Ops as much as you do in PRDs with engineers.
* You are highly structured and organized, but pragmatic—comfortable shipping iteratively and learning as you go.
* You naturally build visibility and alignment; stakeholders feel informed, included, and confident in your decision‑making.
* You take ownership from concept to production and are comfortable making and communicating tough tradeoffs.
* You thrive in a remote, cross‑functional environment and embody Scentbird’s values.
What You’ll Need to Have
* 7+ years of product management experience in consumer or operations‑heavy businesses (ecommerce, marketplaces, subscription, 3PL/WMS, etc.).
* Demonstrated ownership of warehouse/fulfillment or back‑office systems (e.g., WMS, OMS, ERP, pick‑to‑light, MHE, 3PL integrations).
* Experience working with NetSuite or similar ERP, WMS, TMS, and warehouse automation solutions.
* Strong understanding of warehouse and fulfillment processes and KPIs; comfortable talking in terms of productivity, accuracy, and SLAs.
* Proven track record leading cross‑functional initiatives from discovery through rollout, including UAT and training.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to write crisp specs and present to execs.
* Strong organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills; ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
* Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and event‑based architectures.
* Experience working with data and analytics teams to build decisioning models, dashboards, and experiments.
Nice to Have
* Hands‑on exposure to AI/ML or advanced optimization problems (e.g., forecasting, routing, wave planning, simulation).
What You’ll Love About Us
* Competitive base compensation
* Paid Time Off and Work From Home
* A fun, creative and energetic work environment

About the Brands
* Scentbird: The easiest way for fragrance lovers to discover, try, and buy their favorite scented products without a commitment.
* Deck of Scarlet: Deck of Scarlet is on a mission to break the clean category, redefining what clean fragrances should smell like. Composed entirely of vegan, cruelty‑free ingredients, our fragrances bridge the gap between the clean and luxury categories, using the highest eau de parfum concentrations housed in sculptural, eye‑catching bottles. You shouldn’t have to choose between being luxe and refined, or clean and vegan—now, you don’t have to.
* Confessions Of A Rebel: We were born in 2018, holding fast to the idea that the fragrance industry was in dire need of a change. When we looked around, all we saw was a sea of sameness: outdated archetypes of femininity and masculinity paired with unrelatable images of luxury that we had no say in. In truth, we are complex in ways that cannot be contained in the traditional heteronormative stereotypes, existing beyond the binary with raw, unfiltered voices that deserve to be heard.
* Goodhabit: Enriched with a blend of essential oils, Goodhabit’s clean, vegan, cruelty‑free fragrances act as bottled intentions you set free with each mist. Our scents are designed to help you align with the good habits you’re building, while working to enhance and boost your mood. Inhale, exhale, and let the good energy flow through you.
* Sanctuary: Created for those who care about the fate of our planets, Sanctuary offers fragrance for a better future. Our clean, community‑driven fragrances are inspired by endangered species and their habitats, each aimed at raising money and awareness for the preservation of their namesake.
* Drift: Drift began as an alternative to all of the tacky air care products on the market. Our products are designed to blend in, with amazing scents that stand out. We take pride in our fragrances, keeping them free from the traditional chemicals used in the fragrance industry. We are always phthalate and paraben free. We never skimp on quality of our scents or the products that deliver them. Our design ethos is simple but effective. We love our community, those who won’t settle for ordinary, and we want to deliver a best in class experience.
