About the job
We are looking for a Business Developer (FMCG sector) who wants to make a real impact. You will go beyond traditional account management: your role is to inspire and engage new and existing partners around a shared mission. You’ll focus on a product segment to be determined based on the organization’s needs and your affinities, identifying growth opportunities, analyzing trends, and building partnerships aligned with the organization’s strategic goals. You will be part of a close-knit sales team of four, each with their own portfolio focus, and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders (retailers, food service providers, specific brands, etc.).
Your main responsibilities
7. Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact for your partners, ensuring strategic alignment and mutual value creation.
8. Business Development: Identify, approach, and convince new partners to join the movement and commit to long-term collaboration. In parallel, you proactively seek opportunities for upselling and expanding collaboration with existing partners.
9. Strategic Insight: Analyze sales figures and partner data to inform your recommendations and refine your approach.
10. Market Intelligence: Follow industry trends and competition, especially in your segment of focus, to fuel informed decision-making.
11. Cross-Team Collaboration: Share your findings with the team, co-develop strategic plans, and contribute to the broader impact of the organization.
About the ideal candidate

️ Fluent in Dutch and French, and comfortable in English.
You are a skilled communicator who knows how to engage with various stakeholders, from operational teams to C-level.
Comfortable with numbers, able to interpret data, and use it to strengthen your business cases, you're used to work with excel.
You have experience in FMCG, ideally within retail and/or horeca sector.
Driven, proactive, and eager to build lasting partnerships.
Junior/Medior Profile
Experience in sales or business development is a plus.
You are eager to learn and continuously develop your skills.
