We have an exciting opportunity for the Clinical Application Specialist position within ALCON Benelux, working from our office in Mechelen .
In this position, you will play a crucial role in our company's success by training our clients on how to work with our Surgical products.
In this role, a typical day will include:
1. Deliver technical and clinical training, education, and ongoing support to train surgeons and Operating Room staff on the approved use and application of Alcon’s Cataract and Refractive Surgical Device products.
2. Provide on-site and/or remote clinical application support to customers by offering scientific and technical information in response to inquiries regarding the approved use of Alcon medical devices.
3. Ensure the successful implementation of all equipment and software upgrades at clinical sites for all relevant devices.
4. Document each site visit clearly and accurately using a CRM tool within 48 hours of the visit's completion.
5. Identify and report all adverse events and device deficiencies to Medical Safety according to company protocol.
6. Refer inquiries related to unapproved uses of technologies.
7. Address reports of Adverse Events requiring root cause analysis and requests for feedback/input from physicians as requested by Clinical Applications management in cooperation with Medical Safety, as appropriate.
8. Collaborate with Field Service Engineers to support clinical sites on new installations, site support, and troubleshooting.
9. Work with the Field Service team and Sales Reps to ensure clinical training is scheduled for new installations and ongoing surgical support needs.
10. Provide continuous feedback to R&D via an approved communication plan on the clinical performance of products.
11. Respond to unsolicited requests for information related to Alcon medical devices, following SOPs and Ethics and Compliance Guidelines.
12. Attend and support Medical Congresses, fellowships, conferences, exhibits, seminars, and wet-labs as requested by Clinical Applications management.
13. Assist with convention demonstrations as deemed appropriate by management according to SOPs.
14. Achieve clinical certifications to meet the requirements and scope of responsibilities.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
15. Fluency in English + Dutch and/or French.
