Do you want to take part in the development of the car of tomorrow? The Purchasing team at Toyota Motor Europe can offer you this challenge. Located in the heart of Europe, Purchasing plays a key strategic role in the development of our future products. As a buyer you will develop and manage all aspects of the commercial relationship between Toyota and its suppliers, located all over Europe. This position will allow you to have an insight into the most recent technical innovations and will enable you to get a deep understanding of how a leading multinational operates and interacts with numerous internal and external parties.
Your responsibilities
1. Purchase vehicle parts or raw materials for current and future models/vehicles
2. Negotiate with our suppliers to achieve the best cost reductions
3. Manage all commercial issues related to your portfolio of responsibility
4. Make appropriate supplier selection recommendations to senior management
5. Develop comprehensive understanding of technological and market trends within the automotive industry
6. Work closely with Global Toyota Purchasing, develop commodity strategies at regional level and have direct input towards global strategies
Your Profile
For TME Graduate positions we are targeting recent University Graduates (less than 18 months of experience excluding internships)
7. You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
8. have a university degree or higher education in business, purchasing or engineering
9. have business understanding and affinity with automotive products
10. are results driven and able to break down complex issues into manageable portions
11. have good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
12. have highly developed analytical skills, accuracy and reliability
13. can work independently in multi-disciplinary teams
14. are computer literate (MS Excel, PowerPoint)
