This role sits at the heart of a large-scale public digital data-exchange platform that enables secure and automated data sharing between government services. As a Senior Technical Functional Analyst, you operate at the intersection of business, integration architecture, and delivery. You play a key role in refining requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring smooth implementation and operation of critical integration services.
The environment is highly technical, integration-driven, and mission-critical, combining project-based improvements with ongoing operational responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze and refine functional requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications
* Act as the technical-functional bridge between product ownership and development teams
* Support prioritization and planning by clarifying scope, dependencies, and technical constraints
* Work on SOAP, REST, and file-based integration services within a complex integration landscape
* Follow up on incidents, defects, and bug tickets in a production environment
* Support migration, rollout, and cleanup activities related to integration services
* Contribute to data and process modeling for integration components
* Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and operational teams in an Agile setup
What are we looking for?
* You have
5+ years of experience as a functional analyst
working on
business-critical applications
* You have
5+ years of hands-on experience with SOAP and REST services
* You have strong experience working in
technical integration environments
* You have proven experience with
requirement analysis and solution design
in
OO, multi-tier, and web-based architectures
* You have experience with
complex data and process modeling techniques
* You are
fluent in Dutch (CEFR C2 level)
Nice to Haves
* Experience with Atlassian tooling such as JIRA and Confluence
* Experience with batch processing and understanding of event-driven architectures
* Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and delivery workflows
* Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
* Experience with integration testing tools such as SoapUI or XMLSpy
* Familiarity with container platforms (Kubernetes / OpenShift)
* Knowledge of token-based authentication and authorization (OAuth, SSO)
* Exposure to logging and tracing platforms (ELK stack, distributed tracing)
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure
* Knowledge of linked data standards or semantic data models
