🔐 IAM Engineer (IBM ISIM)
We are currently looking for an IAM Engineer to join a dynamic Identity & Access Management team within a large-scale software environment. The team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining identity and access management solutions across a complex application landscape.

📌 Your Role
As an IAM Engineer, you will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the organization's IAM solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing, configuring, and maintaining IAM solutions with a strong focus on IBM ISIM
* Supporting identity governance and access management implementations
* Contributing to projects related to authentication and authorization, including MFA and OpenID Connect
* Integrating IAM solutions with other applications and enterprise systems
* Collaborating closely with architects, developers, analysts, and testers
* Ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the IAM platform
🧩 Projects You May Work On
Examples of ongoing initiatives include:
* Implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
* OpenID Connect integrations
* Expansion and optimization of enterprise IAM platforms
🛠 Technology Stack
The environment includes a diverse technology landscape with a strong focus on custom development and enterprise IAM solutions.
Key technologies include:
* IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM) – primary focus
* IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM)
* Java-based applications
* Modern authentication protocols (e.g. OpenID Connect)
⚙️ Ways of Working
The team follows Agile/Scrum practices:
* 2-week sprints
* Production releases at the end of each sprint
* 4 larger quarterly releases per year
🏢 Work Setup
Hybrid working model:
* Approximately 1 day per week onsite in Brussels
* Remaining days remote
* Possible increase of onsite presence in the future
👤 Profile
We are looking for someone with:
* Experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM)
* Strong knowledge of IBM ISIM (highly preferred)
* Experience with Java development is a plus
* Understanding of authentication and authorization standards such as OpenID Connect
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
* Good knowledge of Dutch and English
