Test Engineer – Aerospace
Support engineering and testing activities for our Aerospace team, part of the Project Office Service.
Your responsibilities
Oversee, design, and realize the main technical tasks related to our aerospace facilities and laboratory operations with support from technical services. Specific tasks:
* prepare and participate to measurement campaigns on a wide range of research projects for the space and defence agencies and for the aerospace industry
* prepare and integrate experimental equipment with researchers and students
* ensure the quality and operation of our unique aerospace test facilities (e.g., high-speed wind tunnels, low density test facility, etc.) and associated instrumentation by coordinating their maintenance, calibration, and upgrades.
Job requirements
* Industrial Engineer (MSc) – mechanics or electromechanics
* Previous experience is a plus but not generally required
* Solid technical and engineering background (good knowledge of mechanical design, good programming skills)
* Familiar with CAD tools (e.g., CATIA), FEA tools (e.g., Ansys Mechanical) and programming languages (e.g. Python)
* Knowledge of programming environments for data acquisition and instrument control (e.g., Labview) is an asset
* Out-of-the-box thinking, and problem-solving abilities are a strong asset
* Fluent in French and/or Dutch and a working knowledge of English
* Ability to cooperate with other engineers, and focus on team goals
