Due to our strong growth as a group and the extension of our activities in new segments, we are looking to enforce our Finance team with a Senior, based in Brussels.
Your role:
You will be part of the global Finance team managing all process related to balance sheet & income statement and financial reporting aspects. After your onboarding you will manage certain aspects of the value chain in collaboration and in full transparency with the team.
As Senior Accountant, you will take full ownership of key financial processes including month-end closing, consolidation, VAT compliance, and statutory audits. You will act as a key link between headquarters and local subsidiaries, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, strong compliance, and alignment across entities. Beyond technical accounting expertise, the role requires strong process optimization skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to balance attention to detail with a strategic business perspective.
Your key responsibilities and challenges are:
* Month-End Closing – Full ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.
* Accounting Policy Review – Comprehensive 360° review of accounting policies and process setup, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance requirements.
* VAT Compliance – Review of VAT treatments and creation of standardized VAT processes across entities.
* Quarterly Alignment – Regular coordination with local subsidiaries and consolidated accounting teams to ensure reporting consistency.
* Intercompany Transactions – Oversight of intercompany eliminations and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and proper controls.
* Consolidation – Responsibility for the quarterly group consolidation process.
* Audit Management – Lead statutory audit for Novasol NV and support local subsidiary audits; full ownership of the group audit process.
* Cost Control – Monitoring and follow-up of general expenses budgets.

Technical & Functional Expertise
* Advanced Accounting BE GAAP Knowledge – Ability to perform 360° reviews, ensure policy compliance, and support audits.
* Consolidation Expertise –Understanding of multi-entity consolidations, including foreign currency translation and intercompany eliminations.
* VAT & Indirect Tax Knowledge – Solid grasp of VAT regulations in multiple jurisdictions (mainly Belgium), process setup, and compliance.
* Audit Management – Experience with statutory and group audit processes, managing external auditors, and preparing audit files.
* Financial Reporting & Analysis – Skilled in preparing accurate, timely reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

Your profile:

Bachelor level in Finance, Master is a plus

5 - 6 years working experience in international Finance environment
·
You are fluent in English and French or Dutch
