Ph3Job Location /h3 pGlobal /p h3Position /h3 pThe Department of Literature in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Antwerp is looking for a full‑time doctoral scholarship holder to conduct research on "Scenes of friendship in German and English children’s literature." /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liPrepare and defend a PhD dissertation on scenes of friendship in children’s literature. /li liPublish peer‑reviewed articles and deliver conference papers related to the research project. /li liCarry out a limited number of teaching and research support tasks for the Department of Literature in the areas of English and German literature. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster's degree in German and/or English Literature or a related field; degree must be obtained by the start of the role. /li liPreferably demonstrated experience in studying children’s literature. /li liExcellent study results and strong research qualities in line with faculty and university policies. /li liTeaching competences aligned with the university’s educational vision. /li liHigh proficiency in English and German (reading, writing, speaking). /li liAbility to work effectively in a team and balance independent and collaborative work. /li liIntegrity, creativity, cooperation and quality‑focused mindset. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liDoctoral scholarship for a period of two years, renewable once for another two‑year period upon positive evaluation. /li liMonthly scholarship amount according to university policy. /li liAdditional allowances: ecocheques, Internet‑connectivity allowance, and bicycle allowance or full reimbursement of public transport costs. /li liAccess to a wide range of courses and an educational credit through the Antwerp Doctoral School. /li liBased at the University of Antwerp’s city campus (Stadscampus). /li /ul h3Equal Opportunity Statement /h3 pWe encourage diversity and attach great importance to an inclusive working environment and equal opportunities, regardless of gender identity, disability, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation or age.
