We are hiring a skilled Level 3 Network Support Engineer to support critical enterprise and defense-related network systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in advanced routing, secure VPN configuration, network troubleshooting, and change management processes. This role involves coordination with both internal teams and international clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Configure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS
* Configure Site-to-Site VPNs using IKEv1/IKEv2, policy-based routing, ACLs, and QoS
* Perform root cause analysis on issues related to:
* Routing, VPNs, firewall configuration, bandwidth, QoS, and authentication
* Execute hardware/software upgrades including:
* Module replacement, IOS upgrades, patches, and licensing
* Participate in customer testing for NCI infrastructure
* Support NCIA FMN (Federated Mission Network) and AFPL compliance
* Prepare deployable network assets per system design
* Coordinate L1/L2 troubleshooting and provide On-the-Job Training (OJT)
* Manage RMA processes and perform LRU-level fault repair
* Document network diagrams, configurations, spares, and reports
* Support incident response and contribute to network design policies
* Identify and assess network risks and threats
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Networking, IT, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in Level 3 Network Support roles
* Strong expertise with Cisco technologies, routing protocols, VPNs, and firewalls
* Experience in change management and network documentation
* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
