We are currently looking for an experienced
Network & Security Engineer
to join the
NOC (Network Operations Center)
team of a major European governmental institution in Brussels. This position combines both
Network Engineering
and
Network Security Engineering
responsibilities within a large-scale international enterprise environment connecting headquarters, data centers, and worldwide delegations.
Your Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and performance of critical network infrastructure across multiple international sites.
Your responsibilities include:
• Monitoring and managing enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure • Supporting and troubleshooting complex network and security incidents • Managing Cisco-based network environments across HQ and international delegations • Operating and maintaining Palo Alto firewalls and F5 VPN infrastructure • Supporting WiFi environments based on Aruba technologies • Working with Cisco DNAC and Cisco ACI environments • Participating in infrastructure rollouts, migrations, upgrades, and operational improvements • Providing 2nd line operational support within the NOC team • Drafting operational procedures and technical documentation • Ensuring operations follow ITIL best practices (Incident / Change / Problem Management)

✅ Your Profile
• 4–8 years of experience in Network & Security Engineering • Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco networking technologies • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and F5 solutions • Experience within enterprise or mission-critical environments • Cisco ACI experience is considered a major plus • Aruba WiFi experience is a strong asset • Fluent in English
Certifications
At least one relevant certification is required:
• CCNA / CCNP / CCIE • Palo Alto, F5 or Juniper certifications • Network Security certifications (SANS is a plus) • SD-WAN or Splunk certifications are considered advantageous
Working Model
• Hybrid setup: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote • Monday to Friday only (no weekend work) • Rotating shifts between: Office shifts • 08:00 – 16:30 • 10:00 – 18:30 Remote shifts • 07:00 – 15:30 • 11:30 – 20:00
Security Clearance
Candidates must possess — or be eligible to obtain — a valid
EU SECRET security clearance
(or equivalent national clearance issued by an EU Member State).
