What you will do
1. Work with a team of engineers to develop high-quality software and data pipelines.
2. Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle – gathering requirements, designing solutions, building new interfaces, integration with existing architecture and systems, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
3. Solve complex data engineering problems, improving data quality iteratively through data-driven approaches.
4. Build scalable, highly available and resilient applications by utilizing cloud technologies, programming languages and frameworks that best suit the use cases.
5. Run, monitor and improve operational systems.
What you will need
6. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
7. +3 years of software development experience in Java, and at least another modern programming language.
8. Strong Computer Science and development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
9. Desire to learn and expand your skill set.
10. Keen interest in data.
11. Comfortable with written and verbal communication in English.
12. This position is based in Gent. Therefore, we are only able to accept candidates who already live in Belgium.
