About the Role
Mission Context
As part of our client’s IT Department, we are looking to strengthen the Data & Referential division with an Operational Manager specialized in portfolio management systems and related data projects (PMS integration, Data Warehouse, Reporting, etc.). The Data & Analytics team manages our client’s central Data Platform, which consolidates golden copies of front-to-back systems and plays a critical role in supporting all business activities.
Our client has recently launched a strategic transformation program to redesign its Data Platform, leveraging Azure Cloud Data Lake technologies to improve time-to market and business satisfaction.
Mission Description
As part of the Datalake team, you will contribute to the transformation of our client’s Information System. As Operational Manager, you will lead the Datalake team and oversee related projects from start to finish. You will work cross-functionally with both IT and Business teams to deliver a high-quality solution.
Key Responsibilities
• Operationally manage the Datalake team with the ability to deep dive into both technical and functional topics
• Serve as the main point of contact for Business teams, IT teams, and the CIO
• Ensure project deliverables are met within budget and deadlines
• Maintain clarity and consistency across ongoing projects and the overall transformation roadmap • Participate in steering committees and provide management reporting (planning, risks, issues, etc.)
Profile Required
• Master’s degree (ideally in Finance)
• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
• 5 to 10 years of experience in team management, business analysis, and IT project management
• Strong background in financial markets and/or asset management (excellent understanding of front-to-back processes, portfolio management, financial products, positions, transactions, NAV/performance, risk indicators, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of data management principles (reference data, data quality, metadata, data modeling)
• Strong technical affinity with solid skills in:
o Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
o SQL (advanced queries, joins)
o Data modeling and Power BI
• Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex content to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Team player with a collaborative mindset; comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams
• Methodical and pragmatic, with high attention to detail and adherence to Agile methodologies
• Solid experience in Agile/SCRUM environments, with proficiency in tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
