We are seeking a motivated entry to mid-level Research and Development Engineer (1–3 years of experience) to join a long-term project in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. This role is on-site in the Flemish region.
Location: Flemish Region
Contract: Long-term project with potential for permanent placement
Responsibilities
* Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment (melting systems, vacuum systems, conveyors, cleaning equipment, printing systems, inspection machines).
* Conduct trials, measurements, and root cause analysis (RCA) to improve production workflows.
* Build and adapt test setups to optimize capsule manufacturing processes.
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery.
* Document test results, oversee long-term production trials, and ensure quality compliance.
* Support with basic lab maintenance and safety procedures.
Requirements
Education
* BSc in Electromechanical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
Technical Skills
* Strong mechanical focus with hands-on assembly and machine operation experience
* Familiarity with industrial production environments
* Basic PC proficiency (SAP knowledge a plus)
* Awareness of chemical safety protocols (advantageous)
Languages
* Fluent Dutch/Flemish (mandatory for daily operations)
* Strong English proficiency
* French not required
